"'Attiq Yomin"
By Richard Kraus View Biography
"For me, a landscape does not exist in its own right, since its appearance changes at every moment; but the surrounding atmosphere brings it to life - the light and the air which vary continually. For me, it is only the surrounding atmosphere which gives subjects their true value."
- Claude Monet.
Personal Reflection:
You can take a plain subject and make an incredible photograph with the right light. You can take an ugly subject and with the right light you can still make an incredible photograph. You can take a wonderfully beautiful subject with poor lighting and make a photograph not worth viewing. The secret then is finding a beautiful subject while it's bathing in the right light.
Technical:
This photograph was taken using a 6x7 Pentax and a 90mm lens. The film was Kodak Ektachrome 100 and there were no filters used.
Notes:
"'Attiq Yomin" means "The Ancient One" - Daniel 7:21-22.
